Cabinet approves to send proposal over Sarna Code to Centre

Ranchi: The State Cabinet on Monday decided to send a separate proposal over Sarna Code to the Centre.

A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the project building here. Further, the Cabinet has also approved a proposal to organise a one day special session of Jharkhand Assembly on November 11 with retrospective effect.

The cabinet gave approval to the first supplementary budget for the year 2020-21 from retrospective effect. Further it was decided to provide amended pay scale to Chainman in water resources department following a verdict of Jharkhand High Court.

In an important decision the state government has decided to ink an MoU with the Centre to increase the number of medical seats in RIMS from 150 to 250. The cabinet also gave its nod to paddy procurement scheme for the paddy procurement season 2020-21.

It was also decided to give approval to table in the assembly the CAG report on financial condition of the state for the year ending March 31, 2018 from retrospective effect. The government also gave extension till December 2021 to complete the work of complete electrification in the state.

Further it was decided that in wake of Covid-19 for admission in recognised B Ed Colleges of the state joint entrance exam would not be organised and JCECEB has been authorised to prepare the merit list and do the counselling.

The cabinet also decided to increase the allowance and other wages to be payable to Professor Stephen Marandi who has been appointed acting president of 20 point programme implementation committee.
