Budget session of Vidhansabha to commence from Monday: Uproar expected in house on recruitment policy

Ranchi: The budget session of the Jharkhand Assembly, which was adjourned after the uproar over the planning policy, is resuming from Monday after the Holi break. It is expected that the beginning of the House will be about recruitment policy and employment.

Where the opposition is preparing to surround the issue of providing employment to the youth, the ruling alliance is also ready to answer every question. After the approval of the Cabinet, a notification regarding the new policy has been issued by the personnel department. In such a situation, speculations are being made that the policy will be a big issue, which will echo in the assembly.

The house was running smoothly before the Holi holiday. On March 4, JMM MLA Lobin Hembram raised the issue of recruitment policy and employment in the House. After which the House was engulfed in an uproar. The Speaker had to adjourn the House twice during the Question Hour.

The issue of policy was raised so much in the House that the House had to be adjourned before the scheduled time after the lunch hour. It is expected that Chief Minister Hemant Soren himself will answer the questions of the opposition regarding the recruitment policy and can present the side of the government in the House.

During the uproar in the House on March 4 over the policy, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Aalamgir Aalam had indicated that the government would present its stand when the House reconvenes after the vacation. The government has cleared the recruitment policy before the budget session of the Vidhansabha which begins for the second time.

With this new employment policy, the compulsion to pass the matriculation-inter examination from the state of Jharkhand has been abolished. At the same time, the compulsion of knowledge of local customs has also been done away with. With this, Hindi, English and Sanskrit have been included by removing seven regional languages including Bhojpuri, Magahi and Angika from the list of tribal and regional languages.
