Budegt Session: Auction of ‘Balughats’ will be completed in April, says Chief Minister

Ranchi: During the ongoing Budget session of the Jharkhand Assembly on Tuesday MLAs of the opposition created an uproar over illegal minning and smuggling of sand coupled with acts of the police department.

Due to the uproar by the MLAs Speaker Ravindranath Mahto was once forced to adjourn the house once during the question hour. On the other hand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced in the house that in the first month of the next financial year auction of ‘Balughats’ will be completed in the state.

Intervening while the BJP MLAs were involved in making noisy allegations over illegal minning of sand, its illegal transportation to neighbouring states and acts of the police department Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that members of the BJP throughout the seven days and 24 hours remain in preparations of polls and are in a look out for an opportunity to make a government. He said that BJP is least worried over the present situation of the economy and where it is going.

The Chief Minister pointed as to how things had moved in the previous government as the people of BJP were busy in filling up their own coffers while after coming to power the coalition government is making things systematic. He said that giving a U turn to an ongoing system is not an easy task but the government was on a course correction mode. Over the uproar by the MLAs he said that the opposition wants only reply from the Chief Minister and when he speaks they are not willing to listen.

Earlier while replying over the issue Agriculture Minister Badal had said that government has not issued any order as per which the local police station or PCR van has the power to stop sand laden vehicle. He said that in this context the DGP had earlier written a letter to all the SPs in the state but despite that if the members will give written information the government is ready to take action on them.
