Ranchi: A delegation of the International Buddhist Confederation called upon Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the project building here.
The delegation which was led by Bhadant Dr Dharampriye informed the Chief Minister that in 2021 an International Buddhist Mahotsav is being planned in the state in which the government will have to play an important role to ensure its success.
He said that in this event his holiness Dalai Lama would be also invited. He said that representatives from 40-50 other countries would be also gracing the occasion.
He also urged the Chief Minister to develop the places associated with the Buddhist religion as it would also help in the development of the area and employment generation.
The Chief Minister assured the delegation the government would look into their demands.
