BJP is making misuse of constitutional institutions to remove popular governments: Rameshwar Oraon

Ranchi: Jharkhand Congress Chief and Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon has accused the BJP of making misuse of constitutional institutions to topple popularly elected governments in different parts of the country.

Under the Speak Up for Democracy initiative launched by the party to protest against the happenings in Rajasthan he said that under the democratic set up the largest party is first invited to form the government by the Governor.

However in Goa despite Congress being the largest party BJP formed the government with Independents using the Raj Bhawan and same happenings were replicated in Manipur. The story continued further in Karnataka while the BJP crossed all the limits in Madhya Pradesh as 21 MLAs of the Congress were lured to give resignation and BJP came into power through back door, Dr Oraon said adding that now BJP was trying to topple the government of Rajasthan.

He said that for capturing the throne the BJP was also making misuse of constitutional institutions and using central agencies like ED and CBI to mislead the leaders. The Minister said that the Raj Bhawan is being also kept under pressure in Rajasthan.
