Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday said that the benefits of the Mukhyamantri Rojgar Srijan Yojana should be maximized. Chairing a review meeting over the progress in the execution of schemes and projects under SC/ST Minorities and OBC Welfare department he said that it has been a year since the scheme was launched but its results are not as per the expectations.
He said that the benefits of the scheme have to be extended on a big scale therefore the department should prepare a work plan within a week. He also directed that the pre-matric and post-matric scholarships should be given on time. He further directed the officials to construct the hostels as per the needs during which adequate attention should be paid to basic infrastructure and resources.
He said that better facilities should be made available to the students and the government was serious about making the arrangements for food, cook and guards at these hostels. The Chief Minister also collected information regarding the present status of under-construction residential schools. He directed to provide quality education in the residential schools being operated by the department.
The Chief Minister said that there is a need to paste posters at panchayat bhawans and Anganwadi centers regarding the Mukhyamantri Rojgar Srijan Yojana in which process of availing loan should be also detailed so that people can take advantage.
He directed the officials to make sure that the benefits of the scheme are extended to all the needy and suggested that every month camps should be organised to give information regarding the scheme to the people. Under Mukhyamantri Rojgar Srijan Yojana a total of 3,853 applications have been approved against which a sum of Rs 59.61 crore has been approved.
