Barchatti MLA quarantined in Hatia Guest House

Ranchi: MLA from Barachatti seat of Bihar Assembly Mamta Devi has been put into quarantine of 14 days by the district administration on Wednesday at the Hatia Guest House.

The MLA along with her supporters, two bodyguards and a female attendant had come to Ranchi to meet RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. Since the MLA had come without prior information therefore on directions of ADM law and order Akhilesh Kumar Sinha she was put into quarantine along with her bodyguards and female attendant.

The district administration said that the MLA had not done registration for her arrival and departure therefore in wake of the guidelines issued for Covid-19 she has been put into quarantine.

ADM law and order said that the MLA has been duly informed that a letter was issued by Chief Secretary on July 17 which makes it mandatory for the people to take permission for entry in the state therefore she has been put into quarantine.

To make sure that no law and order issues arise at the guest house three female magistrates have been also deputed.
