Babulal writes to Hemant asking to open closed rooms in RIMS for treatment of Covid-19 patients

Ranchi: Leader of Legislature wing of BJP Babulal Marandi has written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren in which he has raised the issue of closed rooms in the RIMS which is state’s largest government hospital.

Mr Marandi has pointed beneath the floor on which RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav is undergoing treatment 19 rooms have been kept closed over the ‘security’ issue of the leader and said that when there was a crisis of beds for Covid-19 patients the closure of such large numbers of rooms is of no use.

He said that in these 19 rooms at least 40 patients of Coronavirus can be admitted. Mr Marandi also pointed to the comments of the high court which has raised serious concerns over the ongoing arrangements for treatment of Coronavirus patients in the state.

He further wrote that Mr Yadav is also a very sensitive person and it appears that the matter is also not under his notice as when the lives of people are under threat such acts in the name of his security will not be tolerated by him. He said that even the Chief Minister seems not to be aware of the matter therefore he was bringing this before him so that more patients battling Coronavirus can get beds.

He asked the Chief Minister to take cognizance of the matter and direct the department to open the rooms so that more patients can be accommodated in the hospital.
