Babulal writes to Amit Shah over negligence in providing security cover to leaders in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and leader of legislature wing of BJP Babulal Marandi has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighting the deliberate negligence being done in providing security cover to the leaders associated with BJP.

Mr Marandi said that after the new government came into power the incidents of crime and maoist related activities have increased in the state. He said that in the just six months of the state government 42 big and small incidents have been executed by the maoists while crime was on a all time high.

On the other hand the state government was looking through its political glasses to provide security cover to the politicians especially those related with the BJP. He said that on one hand the DGP incharge of the state amid Coronavirus crisis called back all the security cover given to people apart from elected representatives while on the other hand small contractors, middlemen and liasoners associated with the ruling government have been provided security cover from block level to district level.

He said that what even security has been withdrawn from such people whose names had been recommended by the state security committee. Marandi has requested the Union Home Minister to conduct a probe by any central investigating agency regarding the irregularities being committed by the state government in providing security to the people. He said that the government should rise above political affiliations and provide security cover to the needy.
