Mumbai — Actress Anita Hassanandani celebrated her son Aarav’s birthday with an emotional and loving message, expressing the deep bond she shares with her child.
Taking to Instagram, Anita posted an adorable photograph of Aarav along with her husband Rohit Reddy. In the heartfelt note, she described Aarav as the child she had always wished for and the greatest blessing in their lives.
“To the boy I once wished for and now hold in my arms, you are the best thing that ever happened to us,” she wrote. Expressing gratitude, Anita added that she and Rohit feel blessed that Aarav chose them as his parents. She concluded her message by wishing him a happy birthday, calling him their “jaan” and “lifeline.”
Anita married corporate professional Rohit Reddy in Goa in 2013. The couple announced Anita’s pregnancy in 2020 through a social media video and welcomed their son Aarav on February 9, 2021.
The actress began her career with the television show Idhar Udhar in 1998 and made her film debut with the Telugu movie Nuvvu Nenu. She gained early recognition with her role as Tanushree in Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii (2001–2002).
Her career reached a major milestone in 2005 with Kkavyanjali. She later appeared in Kayamath, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and Hindi films such as Dus Kahaniyaan and Just Married. She also featured in popular shows including Kasamh Se, Kya Dill Mein Hai, and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.
Anita became widely known for her portrayal of Shagun Arora Raghav in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. She also appeared in Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Yeh Hai Aashiqui. From 2018 to 2019, she played Vishakha, a shape-shifting serpent, in Naagin 3 and reprised the role in Naagin 4 in 2020.
After taking a break during her pregnancy, Anita returned to acting with the Hindi film Maarrich opposite Tusshar Kapoor. She later appeared in the television show Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum alongside Jay Bhanushali and portrayed Devika Gupta Mittal in Suman Indori in 2024. Most recently, she was seen in the reality show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon.
