Ranchi: “The role of culture is that it’s the form through which we as a society reflect on who we are, where we’ve been, where we hope to be” is said by Wendell Pierce. This was well depicted in the second day of the Birsa Munda Music & Dance Festival organized by Amity University Jharkhand in association with PANDIT CHANDRA KUMAR MALLICK MEMORIAL CHARITABLE TRUST on 26th Dec 2021.
The dignitaries who graced the occasion with their presence were Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Prof.(Dr.)Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand and Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand.
The second day of the event started with a welcome song by Mr.Tamal Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor, Amity University Jharkhand. The other major attractions of the second day were Classical Vocal by Shri Kumar Kaushik, Instrumental Performance (Sitar) by Dev Priya Thakur Ji, and Instrumental Performance (Pakhawaj) by Pt.Raj Kumar Jha.
Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand welcomed one and all and sought blessings of Founder President Mr. Ashok Kumar Chauhan, he said “Culture is the mother of all the Ethos and it is not only depicted through the cuisine or dress but also well portrayed through dance and music, and we feel proud to promote our Indian culture on this auspicious occasion”.
The music and dance festival ended at a successful note and not only breathed a new life into everyone with the mesmerizing classical music but also made everyone proud of the rich cultural heritage we Indians belong to.
