AJSU demands for complete liquor ban in Jharkhand, withdrawal of amendments in CNT/SPT Acts

Ranchi, Mar 19: The AJSU party has demanded that a complete ban on
liquor be imposed in the state and the state government also without
any further delay withdraw the amendments made in the CNT/SPT Acts.

 

A political resolution in this regard was unanimously passed on the
third day of the annual convention of the AJSU Party organised at
Morabadi here. A total of 29 proposals were passed as part of the
political resolution. Party spokesperson read out the resolutions
during the open session which were unanimously passed by the office
bearers and district committees of the party.

 
The other proposals included strengthening of the panchayati raj
bodies so that the concept of rural republic can be realised. Provide
unemployment allowance to unemployed youth  of the state, the party
once again renewed the call to form Greater Jharkhand comprising
Midnapur, Bankura and Purulia districts of West Bengal and Keonjhar,
Sambapur, Sundargarh and Mayurbanj districts of Odisha.
Untill these districts are made part of Jharkhand an autonomous
council be formed, creating a exploitation free society and providing
corruption free and transparent administration, formation of Vidhan
Parishad in the state, as per the party proposal prepare list of
Jharkhand Andolankaris and roll back cases against them and provide
employment and honor to them, form minorities finance commission,
corporation and 15 point execution committee, appointment of Urdu
teachers and provide grant to 592 madrassas.
The party also called that all such castes which fulfil the criteria
of being incorporated into ST category be included whereas
economically backward no people to which category they belong should
be brought in main stream of life. In every block women police
stations be opened, their political participation ensured and 50 pc
reservation in factories.
The other demands of the party included increase in reservation pc of
STs from 26to 32, SC from 10 to 14 and OBCs from 14 to 27. 100 per
cent jobs reservation at district level for those who have land in
their names of their ancestors, fix marks of the regional languages to
be obtained in exams of JPSC and JSSC, form a council for regional and
tribal languages, form agriculture corridor and withdraw increase in
holding tax.
