Ranchi: The Conference of Ministers of Power and New and Renewable Energy of the States and Union Territories started to commence in Udaipur in which Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperation Minister Badal participated on behalf of the Government of Jharkhand.
He said in the conference that power is cut by DVC from time to time in the state due to energy arrears while the state government’s money is about one lakh 36 thousand 42 crore is due from the center in the form of coal royalty.
He has requested the Union Minister to deduct the power dues from the coal royalty and give the remaining amount to the state. The Union Minister said that the State Government should give all these things to him in writing after which he will talk to the Union Coal Minister, Government of India and find a way to solve it.
Badal also raised the issue of problems faced by farmers in pm kusum in the conference, he said that the agency with the solar pump in pm-kusum component B is selected by the center and by the agency the solar pump is given to the farmer. But when the pump fails, the responsibility of its maintenance is not taken by the agency at all, on this, the Union Power Minister said that the state government can also choose the agency.
Badal demanded from the Union Minister that the production of green hydrogen should be set up at Sindri in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.
Badal also raised the issue of displacement in Pakribarwadi strongly, he said that land has been acquired by NTPC for coal mines and a power plant in Pakri Barwadih, Barkagaon and Chatra district, due to which the problem of displacement has arisen.
He said that some people have lost their lives due to the agitation, proper compensation by NTPC and proper job should be given to the displaced, he has also demanded from the central government to give compensation at the present rate. He said that a large number of people in the state are facing the brunt of displacement. I
Industrial consumers are shown more interest in providing electricity, which causes a lot of trouble to the poor consumers in this direction, there is a need to bring an act by paying attention to the center so that poor consumers can get the benefit.
He said that according to the rules of the center, the number of consumers who have a load they can set up solar plants of the same amount. Urging the Union Minister to make such a rule that any consumer can install roof solar plates up to 5 kilowatts, the Union Minister has also talked about making rules.
He has urged the central government to make proper rules so that any power plant can be commissioned in a time-bound manner, he said that in the field of coal we see that coal blocks if not commissioned in a time-bound manner so there a provision for imposition of penalty, on the same lines, there should be a rule to implement the project for the power plant project development at the same time, otherwise penalty should be imposed on them too.
Taking serious note the Union Minister assured that the Central Government is serious about the problems of Jharkhand and soon work will be done in the direction of resolving the problems.
