Ranch: In view of the ever-increasing cases of corona infection, there is an adequate system of oxygen supply in Ranchi district.
Deputy Development Commissioner cum In-charge of Logistics Cell Vishal Sagar is constantly monitoring the whole system. In this sequence on Friday he held a virtual meeting with oxygen suppliers. The Deputy Development Commissioner directed all the oxygen suppliers of the district to get PESO certification of their respective plants. He said that all the plant operators should also complete the training of man power at the earliest.
Adequate arrangements have been made in the district to ensure that there is no shortage of oxygen supply during any phase of Covid-19 infection. He informed that the PSA plant has been established by the district administration at Sadar Hospital. After the second wave of corona, new oxygen plants have been installed at Namkum, Ormanjhi and Sonahatu CHCs. Also, a new oxygen plant will be ready soon in Budhmu and its tender process has also been completed.
Oxygen cylinders are available in sufficient number in Sadar Hospital Ranchi. The total number of cylinders is 1502. These include B-Type cylinder 1065 and D-Type 437 cylinder.
PSA plants have also been installed at Sadar Hospital for smooth supply of oxygen. Whose capacity and numbers are as follows:-
800 LMP PSA -2 Set
100 LMP PSA – 1 Set
6000 liter LMO – 1 Set
800 LMP PSA and
The 100 LMP PSA is functional and connected to the manifold. The LMO is also connected to the manifold and certification has been done.
80 oxygen concentrators are available in Sadar Hospital while 20-20 oxygen concentrators are available in Sub-Divisional Hospitals Bundu, Angada, Bedo, Budhmu, Chanho, Kanke, Lapung, Mander, Namkum, Ormanjhi Ratu, Silli, Tamar CHC.
The DDC informed that there is sufficient availability of oxygen in Ranchi district. After the second wave of corona, new oxygen plants have also been built in three CHCs. He said that oxygen beds are also available in sufficient quantity in all government hospitals.
