Godda: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday said that the Abua housing scheme would provide benefits to more than 8 lakh deprived families of the state. “ The soul of Jharkhand resides in the villages. Unless the village is strong the state will not be strong. Our government is working seriously how to strengthen the roots of Jharkhand, so that the coming generations can get its fruits” said Chief Minister Hemant Soren while addressing the program “Apki Yojna, Apki Sarkar, Apke Dwar at Mundar Kothi Stadium in Godda district on Friday.

Through the programme, the state government is reaching out to every village and panchayat and working to give people their rights. In the last two years, we received lakhs of applications through the camp. Many types of problems came up. A list was prepared in a phased manner for disposal of the applications received. The result was that, first of all, our government showed sympathy towards all the needy people including the elderly, disabled, widowed mothers and sisters of the state and implemented the Sarvajan Pension Yojana in the state. Jharkhand is the first state in the country to implement Sarvajan Pension Scheme. Bringing all the needy under
the ambit of social security, the state government is providing pension from time to time.

The Chief Minister said that the previous governments had forced all these needy sections to fall into the trap of brokers. Now eligible people coming under the ambit of social security do not have to visit different offices for pension. Now they don’t need to go to anyone. The Central Government knows that the number of poor in this state is high. Our government has tried many times to coordinate with the Central Government to provide housing to the poor. But they ignored our request. But the state government on its own has set a target of providing housing to 8 lakh poor families. For this purpose, Abua Housing Scheme has been implemented.
