Ranchi: State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash said that to realise the pledge of Aatm Nirbhar Bharat it is important that the farmers stand on their feet.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi rapid steps have been taken towards doubling the income of the farmers by 2022 and also ensure that basic amenities of life reach to the villages.
Mr Prakash welcomed the decision of the Prime Minister to launch an Agriculture development fund of Rs 1 lakh crore and sending the sixth installment of Rs 2,000 in the bank accounts of 8.50 crore farmers. He said that on the occasion of Balbhadra Jayanti by sending Rs 17,000 crore in this fund the Prime Minister has given a big gift to the farmers.
He said that farmers will be able to get the right price of their produce when basic infrastructure increases in their villages and arrangements are made for crop storage and preservation.
He said that a sum of Rs 1 lakh crore which has been sent as Agriculture Development Fund would bring revolutionary changed in the sector and urged the farmers to take advantage of the scheme in large numbers.
