Hazaribagh, Jun 22: A person was killed as the SUV of the Jamshedpur
Rural SP Prabhat Kumar met with an accident on the NH-33 near
Mukhundganj.
The deceased has been identified as Ritesh Kumar Gupta (35). He was
working as a supervisor in Satyam Feeds located Demotand. Apart from
the SP, the others who sustained injuries included his bodyguards
Ujjwal Kumar, Ramsingh Tuti and driver Sona Ram Kujru. The wife of the
SP also sustained minor injuries.
After administering first aid at the Sadar Hospital bodyguard Ujjwal
Kumar and the driver were referred to RIMS Ranchi. The SP was going to
his home in Vaishali district of Bihar when the accident took place.
Police said that Ritesh had gone morning walk when he out of sudden
appeared before the vehicle and before the driver could apply the
brakes he was hit as a result of which the vehicle also overturned and
fell in a field.
Upon receiving the information Hazaribagh Sadar MLA Mansih Jaiswal
also reached the hospital and inquired into the health condition of
the police men. The body of the deceased has been sent for
post-mortem. The brother of the deceased as filed an FIR against the
driver of the police vehicle for the death of his brother. Members of
the feeds association also reached the hospital and demanded for
compensation.
