Ranchi: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has announced the results of the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025, with a total of 2,204 candidates qualifying for the next stage. The preliminary examination was conducted on April 19, 2026.
The results were declared after the Jharkhand High Court lifted its stay on the publication of the preliminary examination results. The delay had been caused by a legal dispute over age relaxation in the civil services recruitment process. The High Court subsequently directed the commission to release the results.
Candidates who have qualified in the preliminary examination will now appear for the Main Examination. Along with the results, the commission has also published the list of candidates eligible for the next stage.
The application process for the Main Examination began on July 3 and will remain open until July 9. JPSC has scheduled the Main Examination for July 18, 19, and 20, 2026, at various examination centres across Ranchi district.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts on all three days. Each paper will have a duration of three hours. The first shift will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., while the second shift will run from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
According to the schedule, Paper I and Paper II will be held on July 18, Papers III and IV on July 19, and Papers V and VI on July 20. The Main Examination will carry a total of 950 marks, followed by a 100-mark interview for shortlisted candidates.
