Ranchi: Police have arrested Abhishek Kumar Sinha alias Suraj Sinha, the main conspirator behind the attempted murder of steel and cement trader Radheshyam Sahu and the sensational Anil Tiger murder case. The accused had been absconding for a long time, and police teams were conducting continuous raids to trace him. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested him from Kolkata and brought him to Ranchi.
According to police, on October 15, 2025, unidentified criminals opened indiscriminate fire on Radheshyam Sahu, owner of Sambhavi Enterprises at Kathal More, near his shop. Sahu was seriously injured in the attack. Following the incident, an FIR was registered at Nagri police station and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed. During the investigation, police had already arrested two shooters involved in the case, while the mastermind, Suraj Sinha, remained on the run.
During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed that he had arranged the attack on Radheshyam Sahu after accepting a contract worth Rs 20 lakh. Police are now searching for other criminals linked to the case.
Investigations also revealed that Suraj Sinha was the key conspirator in the high-profile murder of Anil Mahato alias Anil Tiger. On March 26, 2025, Anil Tiger was shot dead at a hotel near Shiv Temple in Kanke Chowk.
Police said the murder was linked to a land dispute. According to investigators, Anil Tiger was mediating in an ongoing land conflict between Devvrat Nath Shahdeo and local landholders. When the dispute could not be resolved, a conspiracy was allegedly hatched to eliminate him.
Police claim that a contract of Rs 5 lakh was given for Anil Tiger’s murder.
