Jamshedpur: In a swift and coordinated operation, Delhi Police, along with local law enforcement, arrested a wanted drug trafficking suspect from the Sitaramdera area on Wednesday.
The accused, identified as Shravan Jaiswal alias Neelu, was apprehended following specific intelligence inputs about his presence in the city. A team from Vikas Puri Police Station in Delhi worked closely with Sitaramdera Police to carry out a targeted raid in New Baradwari (Devnagar), Ward No. 7.
Jaiswal was taken into custody from his residence without any resistance.
According to officials, he had been absconding in a serious case registered under the NDPS Act in Delhi and had been under surveillance for a considerable period.
The sudden police action caused a stir in the Devnagar locality, with residents gathering in large numbers and speculating about the developments.
Police confirmed that the accused has been taken to Delhi for further questioning, and his arrest may lead to important revelations about a broader narcotics trafficking network.
