Mumbai: Actress and producer Niharika Konidela has opened up about the unwavering support she has received from her uncle Pawan Kalyan and cousin Ram Charan—two of the biggest names in the entertainment industry—throughout her cinematic journey.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Niharika was asked about their role in her career. She said their support gives her immense strength.
“I know they are always there for me, even without saying much,” she shared.
Niharika revealed that while they don’t often sit down for structured advice sessions, she learns a great deal simply by observing how they conduct their lives. “That silent guidance is invaluable to me,” she added.
Speaking about whether she feels the pressure of expectations that comes with belonging to such a celebrated family, Niharika admitted, “Yes, I do feel it. I come from a family of very respected actors, including my uncles.”
However, she doesn’t see it as a burden. Instead, she described it as a motivating force. “Whenever I step onto a set or select a film to produce, I carry the thought that I need to make them proud.”
What keeps her grounded and free from stress, she said, is the warmth she receives from her family’s fans. “Even before my first film as a producer or actor, I felt like I already had an extended family. I’m extremely grateful for that love.”
According to Niharika, the most valuable lesson her family has taught her is the importance of discipline. “Almost everyone in my family has told me how crucial discipline is. No matter how good the script or how talented the team, if discipline is missing—whether on set, in the story, or in the work ethic—things can fall apart.”
She concluded by saying that she always ensures her team works with sincerity and discipline.
