BJP pays tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary

Ranchi: The BJP observed the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Saturday. Tributes were paid at his life-size statue in the Jharkhand Assembly complex and at his portrait in the state office. Present on the occasion were state BJP President and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi, Executive President Dr. Ravindra Kumar Rai, State Organization General Secretary Karmveer Singh, State Secretary and MP Aditya Sahu, Dr. Pradeep Verma, Manoj Singh, Metro President Varun Sahu, and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Babulal Marandi described Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a towering personality and a true son of Mother India with a poet’s heart, who holds a special place in the hearts of Jharkhand’s people. He recalled how Vajpayee laid the foundation of a developed India through the Golden Quadrilateral project and bridged rural-urban distances with the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The Pokhran nuclear tests introduced a strong India to the world.

Dr. Ravindra Kumar Rai highlighted Vajpayee’s pivotal role in fulfilling Jharkhand’s dream of statehood, calling him a revered leader who took revolutionary steps toward building a modern, self-respecting India.

Karmveer Singh paid homage, saying Vajpayee remained a friend to all throughout his life, commanding equal respect across political parties as within his own. He added that Vajpayee lived for the country and raised India’s stature on the global stage while elevating its cultural pride.

Also present to pay tribute were state vice presidents Rakesh Prasad, Aarti Kujur, Vikas Preetam, Sunita Singh, Saroj Singh, Hemant Das, Subodh Singh Guddu, Shivpujan Pathak, Yogendra Pratap Singh, Ashok Badaik, Arun Jha, Suraj Chaurasia, Sunil Sahu, Deendayal Varnwal, Sanjay Chaudhary, and others.
