8.46 acre land scam case, judicial custody of former CM Hemant Soren and revenue employee Bhanu Pratap Prasad increased

Ranchi: The judicial custody period of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, involved in the 8.46 acre land scam of Badgai area, has been extended. Earlier, Hemant Soren, who was in jail, was presented in the court on Thursday through video conferencing.

After the appearance in the court, the period of judicial custody of Hemant Soren and revenue employee Bhanu Pratap Prasad has been extended till March 21. The next appearance will be held on March 21 through video conferencing only.

After getting information, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested him late at night after interrogation on January 31. He was produced in the court the next day on 1 February. From where he was taken into judicial custody and sent to jail. Since then he has been in jail.
