Garhwa: Police has arrested seven culprits who were involved in gang-raping a couple of minor girls hailing from Uttar Pradesh.
From the arrested three bikes, four smartphones and Aadhaar card of the victims have been recovered.
The arrested included Saddam Aalam alias Saddam Saudagar alias Mukhtar Aalam, Vicky Khan, Javed Khan alias Bhola Khan, Ali Raza, Sufrail Khan, Sayad Khan and Neyamat Khan. All of them hail from separate villages falling under Bansidhar Nagar Police Station area of this district.
Briefing the press Garhwa SP Srikant S Khotre said that on the basis of the complaint of victims an FIR was registered at women police station Nagaruntari in this case. He said that later a team under SDPO Ajit Kumar was constituted which cracked the case and arrested the culprits.
The two girls hailing from Kond Police Station area of Uttar Pradesh had come on bike with their relatives to Nagaruntari on July 29 to get their Aadhaar Cards updated. On their way back while passing through Baraitand forest the seven culprits forcibly stopped them and after beating the relatives gang-raped the two girls.
