59,085 cases pending in state revenue courts

Ranchi: State’s revenue courts currently have 59,085 pending cases. The total number of cases that have been brought for investigation stands at 2,47,203, out of which 1,88,118 cases, or 76.10%, have been resolved. However, 23.90% of the cases remain unresolved. In Ranchi, there are 21,892 cases still pending. Other districts with a significant number of pending cases include Jamtara with 3,521, Deoghar with 3,234, and Dhanbad with 3,412.

Three districts in the state—Bokaro, Koderma, and Simdega—have managed to keep the percentage of pending cases below 10%. In Bokaro, only 9.74% of cases (699 cases) remain pending. Koderma has just 6.31% pending cases (339 cases), and Simdega has the lowest percentage, with only 2.71% (166 cases) unresolved. On the other hand, Jamtara has the highest percentage of unresolved cases, with 52.48% of cases still pending.

In terms of pending cases across various districts, the following details are provided: In Bokaro, 699 cases are pending, which represents 9.74% of the total cases. Chatra has 1,305 pending cases, making up 16.86% of the total. Deoghar has 3,234 pending cases, or 34.53% of the total. Dhanbad, with 3,412 pending cases, represents 31.43% of unresolved matters. Dumka has 1,780 cases pending, making up 25.17% of the total cases. East Singhbhum has 1,837 pending cases, or 22.01%. Garhwa’s pending cases stand at 1,133, representing 11.89% of the total. Giridih has 1,711 pending cases, which make up 16.48%. Godda has 1,521 unresolved cases, representing 26.04%. Gumla has 1,049 pending cases, or 23.90%. Hazaribagh has 5,019 unresolved cases, representing 23.03% of the total.

Jamtara has the highest percentage of unresolved cases, with 3,521 cases still pending, accounting for 52.48% of its total cases. Khunti has 2,763 unresolved cases, or 21.58%. Koderma has 339 pending cases, or 6.31%. Latehar has 518 pending cases, representing 11.37%. Lohardaga has 604 unresolved cases, making up 16.67%. Pakur has 526 pending cases, which represent 10.97%. Palamu has 712 unresolved cases, accounting for 10.43%. Ramgarh has 2,158 pending cases, or 29.10%. Ranchi, the state capital, has 21,892 pending cases, representing 30.86% of the total. Sahebganj has 818 unresolved cases, or 28.66%, and Saraikela has 1,296 pending cases, representing 16.96%. Finally, Simdega has 166 unresolved cases, accounting for just 2.71%, while West Singhbhum has 1,082 pending cases, or 21.28% of the total cases in the district.
