Ranchi: From November 27 to December 1, the traffic police launched a campaign against autos and e-rickshaws running without permits.
During this period, 43 autos and 25 e-rickshaws were seized without permits.
From which approximately Rs 5 lakh will be collected as fine.
Under Section 192A of the MV Act, there is a provision of a fine of Rs 10,000 for driving an auto without a permit.
There is a provision of a fine of Rs 3,000 for the first offense and Rs 5,000 for the second offense for driving an e-rickshaw without a route permit.
Ranchi Traffic Police has appealed to all the auto drivers that no driver should drive without permit, license or other documents, if caught, legal action will be taken against them.
