319 Teachers and 17 Women Supervisors Receive Appointment Letters, CM Hemant Soren Urges Them to Work for State’s Development

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday handed over appointment letters to 319 newly appointed intermediate and graduate-trained assistant teachers and 17 women supervisors. The appointment letters were distributed during a grand programme held at the Assembly Hall of Jharkhand Ministry in Project Building, Ranchi.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that government jobs should not be viewed merely as a means of earning a salary, but as an opportunity to contribute towards the overall development of Jharkhand. He said the state government is continuously strengthening human resources in different departments to accelerate the pace of development.

Hemant Soren stated that nearly 9,000 teachers have been appointed in the last four months, while around 15,000 to 16,000 appointments have been made over the past two years. He added that more recruitments would be carried out in the next two to three months as well.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that while incidents of examination paper leaks are being reported across the country, Jharkhand has remained free from such controversies and appointments in the state are being conducted transparently.

“Malnutrition Must Be Eradicated”

Speaking about the responsibilities of the newly appointed women supervisors, the Chief Minister said malnutrition remains a major challenge for the state and serious efforts are needed to eliminate it from the grassroots. He stressed that women and children must be protected from the effects of malnutrition.

He also noted that teachers are often reluctant to serve in remote rural areas, but reaching villages is essential for the state’s development. He told the newly appointed teachers that they are now an important part of the government system and will serve as a bridge between the administration and people in villages and households across Jharkhand.

The Chief Minister further said that the positive impact of government schemes is now becoming visible. Referring to the Maiyan Samman Yojana, he said the scheme is helping girls move forward and take up bigger responsibilities. He mentioned that he felt proud while handing over an appointment letter to a young woman from Khunti who was selected as a Deputy Collector.

Teachers Carry Major Responsibility: Radhakrishna Kishore

During the programme, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radhakrishna Kishore said that with appointment comes a major responsibility towards society. He urged teachers to discharge their duties with honesty and dedication.

He also said that Jharkhand must move forward with the same vision and spirit with which Shibu Soren fought for the creation of the state. The minister added that the government is continuously working to create employment opportunities and the newly appointed teachers and women supervisors have an important role to play in the state’s development.

Several senior officials of the Education Department were also present on the occasion.
