3 day Jharkhand Minning Show to be held from October 30 to Nov 1

Ranchi, Oct 22: In an attempt to promote Jharkhand in the national and global minnings pace and open up new prospects for the minning sector of the nation as a whole and the state in particular the Jharkhand Government in collaboration with the CII would be organizing the maiden edition of Jharkhand Minning Show at the Prabhat Tara Grounds of HEC from October 30 to November 1.

Addressing a press conference at the Suchana Bhawan here Jharkhand’s IT and industries Department Sunil Kumar Barnwal said that the event would see participation of central and state government ministers, policy makers, CEOs of leading companies, minning professional, technology providers, financial institutions, academic luminaries, geologists, environmentalist and consultants. He said that the event would cover the entire gamut of miinning, minerals and processing industry.

He said that the three day event would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Union Minister for Railways and Coal Piyush Goyal. The other big names expected to attend the event include Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Aggarwal, Gautam Adani and Sajjan Jindal apart from the heads from Coal India, SAIL, NTPC and Tata Steel.

“JMS 2017 is the first ever exhibition in Jharkhand dedicated to the minning industry will be a meeting ground of policy makers and senior government officials, industry captains and will also felicitate buyer-seller meets. Jharkhand has 40 per cent mineral reserves of the country and 29 per cent of coal reserves. Moreover it is the sector that is considered one of the largest employment generators,” Mr Barnwal said.
