Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) Director Harsh Nath Mishra flagged off the first-ever “Hospital on Wheels” for stray animals under the new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in Jharkhand.
The inaugural function was conducted at CCL, Darbhanga House, Ranchi on Friday.
After the inauguration of a 24 x 7 Ambulance cum emergency response vehicle for animals, Director Mishra pointed out that the company places a high priority on animal care and initiatives like these are a testament of the same.
He added that the company gives top priority to animals, particularly stray animals, which are found on roads and prone to accidents. He further added that the company is committed to working for them.
The vehicle is equipped with modern facilities, which is aimed at providing crucial veterinary care to those stray animals that are often overlooked.
Equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and staffed by compassionate veterinarians, the hospital will bring healthcare directly to the streets, parks, villages and neighborhoods where these vulnerable creatures reside.
The CSR initiative of CCL is not only offering round-the-clock medical attention to stray animals but also to immunize, sterilize and conduct sensitization cum awareness campaigns for the villagers and community members.
This extraordinary endeavor promises to address the pressing healthcare needs of stray animals, offering vaccinations, medical treatments, and spaying or neutering services along with rescue and rehabilitation of affected or injured animals and awareness generation drives.
This ambulance is a significant milestone in ensuring the well-being and welfare of our four-legged companions, leaving an indelible impact on animal care under CSR of CCL. The ambulance will be run by the Helping Organisation for People, Environment and Animal Trust.
General Managers and Head of Departments, as well as a large number of employees, were present during the flagging off event.
