Ranchi: Selection trials are being conducted for the formation of Jharkhand’s hockey team for the 37th National Games to be held in Goa from 25 October to 9 November.
On Friday, the selection trial for the women’s hockey team was held at the Girls’ High School AstroTurf Hockey Stadium, Bariatu.
In this, 145 women hockey players from different districts of Jharkhand participated.
After the trial, 35 players were shortlisted, whose special training camp will be organized after a week.
The selection trial for the men’s category will be held on August 19.
Hockey Jharkhand General Secretary Vijay Shankar Singh, Michael Lal, Dasaratha Mahato, Bigan Soe were present in Friday’s selection trial.
