Ranchi: The district administration has too commenced its preparations in wake of the Chhath Festival as part of which large number of magistrates and police jawans would be deployed to ensure social distancing and use of masks.
The district administration has decided to press into service 50 magistrates, 5 zonal magistrates, 5 zonal Inspectors and 1000 policemen during the festival. Apart from that policemen in plain clothes would be also deployed at the Chhath Ghats.
The administration will also deploy drone cameras while CCTV cameras would be installed at the Ghats. Further rubber tubes and ropes would be kept at the Ghats. In Kanke Dam, Bada Talaab and Dhurwa Dam teams of NDRF would be deployed while in the entire city bike squad will do the patrolling so that thefts do not take place in closed homes. All the DSPs and police inspectors have been asked to keep an eye on the Chhath Ghats.
