New Building of Jharkhand High Court to be completed by December: Secretary

Ranchi: Secretary of the Building Construction Department Sunil Kumar said that the new building of the Jharkhand High Court is expected to be completed by December while the Vidhan Sabha and Development of Patratu Dam are almost complete and ready for inauguration.

Addressing a press conference at the Suchana Bhawan here he said that in all the works which are being executed by the building construction department quality is being maintained and it is being ensured that the work is completed within a fixed time frame.

He said that the building construction department and Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Ltd have completed 400 big and small projects.

On the construction of new Vidhan Sabha building is being constructed at Rs 465 crore and the work will be completed by September as overall 95 per cent project has been completed. Similarly, the construction of Jharkhand High Court will be completed by December which is being built at Rs 366 crore.

He said that construction of Medical College has been completed in Hazaribagh while construction work for 500 bed hospitals in Palamu and Jamshedpur was on and all these projects are likely to be completed by November 2021.

Mr Kumar said that work was also on to build four new university buildings in the state and Raksha Shakti University in Khunti was being constructed at Rs 206 crore and it will be completed by January 2021, on the other hand, the construction work for the first phase of Koyelanchal University and Neelambar-Peetambar University will be done in July 2020.

The Secretary said that a professional college has been constructed in Jamshedpur with an investment of Rs 26 crore and work on engineering college in Godda was also on which will be completed by September 2021.

He said that the department has also completed construction of software technology park in Deoghar, erected statue of Swami Vivekanand in Bada Talab of Ranchi. He said that the construction of the second phase of Jharkhand Bhawan was being executed with an investment of Rs 84 crore while the process for administrative approval for the new secretariat building was also going on.

He said that new collectorate buildings have been built in Chaibasa, Palamu and Dumka while those in Hazaribagh, Dhanbad and Godda were nearing completion on the other hand court buildings in many districts of the state have also been completed. IPRD Director Ram Lakhan Prasad Gupta was also present on the occasion.
