Mnrega Commissioner directs to make payment of wages on time

Ranchi: Mnrega Commissioner Rajeshwari B held a virtual meeting with all the Deputy Development Commissioner and post office officials of the state to ensure timely payment of workers, while establishing mutual coordination on the rejected transactions under Mnrega. In the meeting, the commissioner first took information related to the rejected transactions under Mnrega in the state and directed all the Deputy Development Commissioners of the state to rectify all the matters related to the rejected transactions, establishing mutual coordination with the post office.

During the meeting, she directed to make available the list of rejected transactions which have been done manually by the post office in all the districts within a week. She clearly said that Mnrega is the basis of economic self-reliance for rural workers, in such a situation, if even a single worker who has worked in Mnrega-run schemes and is not paid wages, it would be quite wrong.

She directed all the Deputy Development Commissioners and post office officials to work with full devotion and ensure that the workers get their due. All the deputy development commissioners and post office officials of the state were present in the meeting.

Rajeshwari B directed all the Deputy Development Commissioners that Mnrega is the basis of the life of rural workers, ensure to create man days as per the target. She said that work should be started in every village under Mnrega and ensure to provide employment to the villagers in the village itself.

The Commissioner directed all the Deputy Development Commissioners to fill up the vacant posts in Mnrega without delay as due to vacant posts, the pace of work is being affected.
