Zendaya says Tom Holland is her ‘favourite co-star’

Los Angeles- Hollywood star Zendaya has described her fiancé Tom Holland as her “favourite” co-star, saying she finds him a calming and reassuring presence on set. The 29-year-old actress first met Holland while working on Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017 and has spoken fondly of continuing to collaborate with him on major projects.

Zendaya shared that she especially enjoyed working with Holland on the upcoming epic The Odyssey, noting that his demeanour helps put both her and the entire cast at ease, according to Female First UK.

“Honestly, I know people might think it’s awkward, but he is my favourite person to work with,” she told the Sunday Mirror. “On set, he has this huge calming presence that not only puts me at ease but also everybody he works with. I might be a little biased, but he’s not only my favourite person — he’s my favourite person to work with.”

While the couple value their privacy, Zendaya said they do not want to live hidden lives. “Neither of us wants to hide away and not do normal things like going out for dinner,” she explained. “At the same time, we want to protect our privacy. Some aspects of it will always be out of your control, but the parts that are in our control, we fiercely protect.”

According to Female First UK, Zendaya and Holland divide their time between West London and California. The Euphoria star admitted that the UK now feels like home to her.

“Because so much of our work is in LA, the UK can’t be a permanent home right now, but it really does feel like home,” she said. “I don’t feel like a visitor anymore — I understand the slang, the culture, and I know a nice cup of tea fixes everything. I love the people, though I’ll never understand the obsession with Jaffa Cakes. One thing you do brilliantly is Indian food — we had the best curry just before Christmas.”

Zendaya also said she is selective about the roles she chooses, stressing that she does not want to be sexualised. “No woman should ever have to accept being sexualised,” she said. “I’m careful about the roles I take on, and as an industry, we should be grateful to the brave women who spoke up during the MeToo movement.”
