Ranchi: On the fourth day of the ongoing winter session of the Jharkhand Assembly Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that after December 29 a special drive will be conducted across government and nongovernment schools of the state in which caste certificates of the children will be made.

Replying to a question raised by BJP MLA Neelkanth Singh Munda he said that not only for the students of class 8th and 9th but the caste certificates will be made for all the students irrespective of their communities. The BJP MLA from Khunti said that the condition of Adivasis and Moolvasis was very bad in the state and caste certificates of the tribal children studying in class 8th and 9th is being made after looking at the ‘Khatiyaan’ while people from Bangladesh are giving affidavits and getting their caste certificates made which will be not tolerated by the BJP.

On this, the Chief Minister said that he and his government were not sitting here to do the work of the Bangladeshis but his purpose was the development of children hailing from Dalit tribals and weaker sections of the society. He said that the BJP only does the politics of Hindus and Muslims to destroy the communal harmony of the state. He asked the BJP leaders to explain why people from Jharkhand were subjected to attacks in Maharashtra.
