Dumka: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that his government will approach the court if the Central government fails to provide compensation for the land acquired by the PSUs.
Addressing a press conference at the Massanjore Rest House after participating in a series of programmes in the district he said that the centre owes between Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 crore and the state government has been regularly demanding compensation for the land and if its demands would not be met then it will also not hesitate to approach the court.
The Chief Minister said that after the state government raided the matter for the first time the Union Coal Minister had provided a sum of Rs 250 crore to Jharkhand. He alleged that Jharkhand and other states were not getting their due in GST and the matter was also being pursued with the central government.
He said that the economy of the country was in challenging times as instead of creating jobs employment was being denied to the youth, workers and farmers. He said that despite all the odds the state government was working to strengthen its internal resources so that the youth can be given jobs.
Hemant Soren accused the previous BJP government of being responsible for the poor condition of roads in Dumka while over the issue of construction of the right canal of the Massanjore Dam he said that the matter had been brought to his notice and the government will take necessary actions.
When asked about the matters raised by Jama MLA Sita Soren he said that it was an internal issue of the party and the same would be sorted out within the party.
