Ranchi: The effect of Western Disturbance formed in Rajasthan was seen in many districts of since Sunday evening as it rained in many parts including the capital Ranchi.
Along with the rain, the cold has also started increasing. The Meteorological Center, Ranchi has predicted light to moderate rain at isolated places in the state till January 15.
In the afternoon on Sunday, the mood of the weather started changing in the capital city. It was sunny in the morning, but in the afternoon it started getting cloudy and after that it started raining in the evening. This rain occurred in many districts of the state. Due to Western Disturbance, the north-eastern part of the state including Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur and Sahibganj, apart from them the central parts which has Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti and Ramgarh and the southern parts which includes East and West Singhbhum, Seraikela- Kharsawan and Simdega are expected to receive rainfall during this period.
While issuing a warning, the Meteorological Center, Ranchi said that on January 10 and 11, there may be light to moderate thunderstorms and hailstorms in the northern and central parts of the state.
At the same time, the weather station has forecast light to moderate rain at many places in the state on January 12 and 13. After January 14, the Western Disturbance is expected to leave Jharkhand. After that, it will get cold. However, the Meteorological Center has predicted light to moderate rain at some places in the state on January 14 and 15 as well.
During the cloudy sky and rain, the minimum temperature will rise while the maximum temperature may drop. The maximum temperature during this time can be around 20 degree celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature can be between 13 to 14 degree celsius.
