Vande Bharat train, trial and run done between Patna and Ranchi

Ranchi: The much-awaited trial and run of the Vande Bharat train was done between Patna and Ranchi on Monday. Hundreds of people, railway officials and media persons were present when the train reached to Ranchi railway station.

The Vande Bharat train reached Ranchi Railway Station Platform No. 2 on Monday for trial and run. Enthusiasm was visible among people and many of them of were taking selfies with the train.

On Monday, the trial run of the train was done with state-of-the-art facilities between Patna and Ranchi via Gaya and Barkakana. This train departed from Patna Junction at 06.55 a.m. and arrived in Gaya at 08.20 a.m. After 10 minutes stoppage, it left Gaya at 08.30 a.m. and arrived in Ranchi at 12.40 pm though it was scheduled to reach at 1 pm.

As per train will leave Ranchi at 2.20 p.m. and arrive in Gaya at 7 p.m. and it will leave Gaya at 7.10 p.m. and arrive in Patna at 8.25 p.m.

This Vande Bharat trial run has been conducted for operational and experimental purposes for safety and allied checks prior to regular operations. During the train’s trial run, general passengers were not permitted to board. Former Union minister Jayant Sinha was seen in the train.

The train will run via Jehanabad, Gaya, Barkakana, Koderma, Hazaribagh Town and Mesra. During the trial run, this train was operated at high speed. Railway administration had already made arrangements to ensure that common people should maintain a proper distance from the railway track as well as cattle do not come on the railway track.

Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth in a tweet expressed happiness and gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnav for the gift to people of Jharkhand. The train will be operated on a new route to Patna from Ranchi.
