Ranchi: The much-awaited Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan from Ranchi railway station on Tuesday. Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan said, “Manufactured by our skilled engineers and technicians, this train showcases the growth of our country’s technological capabilities and commitment to environmental responsibility.”
He said, “The Ranchi- Hazaribagh-Koderma rail line foundation stone was laid by the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1999. Now the railway track is ready and the -of the- art Vande Bharat Express is running on this route.” He added, “It is not just a train, but it is presenting a golden picture of a changing India under the leadership of the Prime Minister. it is showing commitment towards becoming a developed India.”
The Governor said, “57 stations of the State will be redeveloped by the Central Government and there is a plan to make them world-class stations.” Governor Radhakrishnan added, “PM Modi has a special attachment to the state of Jharkhand.” The biggest insurance scheme ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’ is a boon for the poor and it was started from the soil of Jharkhand itself. He said, “PM Modi gifted AIIMS to Babanagari Deoghar.” The PM is continuously promoting Khadi silk.
He added, “It is a matter of pride for all the people of our state that a shawl made of Tasar silk of Jharkhand was presented to the President of America by the Prime Minister.” The Governor interacted with school students on the Vande Bharat train at the railway station. Governor travelled from Namkum station to Mesra railway station in ‘Ranchi- Patna Vande Bharat Train’. Governor Radhakrishnan met the children inside the train.
Students from 10th to 12th of different schools took a journey on this train. 10 students from Ranchi, 30 from Mesra, 50 students of Sainik School from Koderma, 30 children from Hazaribagh DAV, 20 from Shivtara Saraswati Vidya Mandir, 45 students from Saraswati Vidya Mandir School Kumhartoli joined the journey.
He also distributed chocolates among the children. Children were seen excited regarding their journey on Vande Bharat Train. Children hold pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. More than 300 Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel were deployed for the security of the train. The journey of Vande Bharat was shown on the screen inside the train. Hazaribagh MP Jayant Sinha said, “Today is a very important and historic day for Hazaribagh.” Hazaribagh has got a train after decades.
MP Sanjay Seth said, “This train is not just a train but a symbol of Make in India.” During the inauguration program MP Deepak Prakash, Union Minister of State Annapurna Devi, MP Aditya Sahu, MP Mahua Maji, Transport Minister Champai Soren and Ranchi MLA CP Singh were present.
