Bokaro: In a joint operation conducted by the jawans of district police and CRPF two powerful IEDs have been recovered from a cave located in Chorkapnia Hills under Penk Narayanpur Police Station area of Bokaro district in Jharkhand.
Bermo SDPO Satish Chandra Jha on Wednesday said that following a tip-off a joint team of the police and CRPF conducted search operations during which the IEDs were found hidden in the cave. He said that the IEDs had been kept hidden by the Maoists to execute a big incident which was averted due to the timely intervention of the police.
The SDPO said that both the IEDs were later defused inside the forest.
