Two Maoists wanted in killing of SP surrender in Dumka

Dumka, Apr 29: Two hardcore ultras of the CPI (Maoists) who were
wanted in several cases including the killing of the than Pakur SP
Amarjeet Balihaar surrendered before DIG Santhal Pargana Akhilesh
Kumar Jha here.
The Maoists have been identified as Nunulal Hansda alias Suleiman
Hansda alias Hemlal Kol and Devilal Hansda alias Chota Sathi. Both of
them were awarded a cheque of Rs 50,000 each as per the surrender and
rehabilitation policy of the state government and their family members
were also felicitated by the police officials.
Speaking on the occasion the DIG said that the duo were involved in
half a dozen big incidents in Godda, Dumka and Pakur. He said that the
police and SSB were trying to make them surrender for the past one
year and finally due to the pressure of their family members they
surrendered.
The DIG said that under the surrender policy of the state government
titled Nai Dishafour Maoists have surrendered and joined the main
stream of the life. Speaking on the occasion Dumka SPMayur Patel said
that influenced by the surrender policy both of them have laid down
their weapons in which their families also cooperated.
He said that after coming out from jail they would be able to live a
normal life and added that efforts would also be  made to get them out
on bail. The SP said that Nunulal hailed from Jamtara district  but
was living in Bankjor village of Shikaripara and even Devilal was from
the same village.
