Daltonganj: Three boys have swept away in the currents of the water while taking a bath at the confluence of Auranga and Koyel river at Kechki which is part of the Palamu Tiger Reserve.
Family members said that a total of 7 boys hailing from Redma of Medninagar had gone for swimming in the water. Since the current was strong all of them started drowning but somehow four of them managed to reach at the banks.
Unfortunately, Abhinav Kumar Gupta (15), Sonu Kumar Gupta (17) and Neeraj Kumar Gupta (8) were swept away in the water.
Upon receiving information Barwadih Police Station officer-in-charge Dinesh Kumar reached the spot and inquired into the incident. Police has pressed in local divers to look for the bodies.
So far only the body of Neeraj has been recovered while the search was on for the remaining two.
