Ranchi: The case related to Tara Shahdeo was heard on Tuesday in the court of Special Judge PK Sharma of Ranchi CBI Court. During this, arguments were held on behalf of the CBI.
The senior public prosecutor appearing on behalf of the CBI said to the court that Tara Shahdev was married by cheating. After marriage, pressure was exerted for religious conversion by teaching Nikah. Not only had this, Mushtaq Ahmed, the second accused in the case, also tortured Tara to have a physical relationship.
After the CBI’s debate, now the date of July 20 has been fixed for the next hearing. Along with Ranjit Kohli alias Rakibul, former High Court Registrar (Vigilance) sacked Mushtaq Ahmed and Kohli’s mother Kaushal Rani are facing trial. The court had framed charges against the accused on July 2, 2018.
