Ranchi: DC Ranchi Chhavi Ranjan inaugurated the “Sveep Carnival” organized in Bedo block. Rangoli, painting, quiz, folk song, folk dance, and football match were organized on this occasion in which local people and school children participated enthusiastically. DC Ranchi Chhavi Ranjan said that all eligible voters should exercise their franchise during the Mandar bye-election.
People of all age groups should participate in this bye-election on 23rd June. In this bye-election, special arrangements have been made for all Divyangjan, 80 years old persons and voters suffering from Covid-19. All of them have been provided with the facility of postal ballot. Along with this, arrangements for vehicles have also been made by the district administration. That is why all the old, disabled, women, men and youth must cast their vote.
The DC also administered the voter pledge to the people present during the program and inspired everyone to vote without any greed. A football match was organized as a sweep tournament between the Devgaon football team Lapung and the Mahadani Bedo team. DC Chhavi Ranjan asked all the players to vote themselves and motivate their relatives to vote as well. He also met Divyangjan on this occasion and inquired about the date of polling from them.
Some differently-abled told that they are using postal ballot and will also vote on June 23. He planted a tree of democracy and asked to use eco-friendly products at every polling station. The DC also awarded prizes to the school children of the Rangoli competition. First place was Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School, Bedo, second place was Upgraded Middle School, Bedo and third place got to Vivekananda School.
On this occasion, the DC also observed Rangoli, paintings, etc. made by school children. Nodal officer of SVEEP District Public Relations Officer Dr. Prabhat Shankar and Assistant Director Social Security Cell Shatrunjay Kumar, BDO of Bedo block, Praveen Kumar along with CDPO, BEEO, and other block personnel were present.
