Ranchi: Agitated students sat on a dharna outside the Kalyan Complex for not getting the scholarship. The protest of these students has been going on for almost six months. The number of students protesting is around 100.
The students are angry over not getting scholarship for the last 10 months, before this they have gheraoed the Kalyan Complex twice. They also expressed his displeasure to the District Welfare Officer, Rashi.
They have following demands –
1. The portal of session 2023-24 should be closed immediately.
2. The portal for the new session should be opened only after the payment for the years 2021-22 and 2022-23.
3. 60 for Scheduled Castes should be paid soon.
4. 5 C students should also get 100 scholarships together like ST and OBC.
5. The data of Scheduled Castes should be sent to the center soon.
6. Payment of remaining ST, SC and OBC students should be made before January 15.
