Ranchi: Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren a round table meeting was held on Tuesday with the representatives of the British High Commission regarding investment in various sectors and prospects in the state. In the meeting, emphasis was given on use of English higher education and in school education, the development of solar energy, clean energy, climate change, tourism, art culture and sports, and prospects for investment in other sectors including electronic motor vehicles and the state government’s policies on all sectors.
The officials presented the detailed information through a PowerPoint presentation. There was a detailed discussion on the points regarding how to take these different dimensions forward. Addressing the British High Commissioner. Alex Ellis and his team in the meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that Jharkhand has great potential for investment in various sectors and the state government is giving full help to the investors.
The Chief Minister said that better policies have been made by the State Government in many sectors including education, agriculture, health, industry, electronic motor vehicles, health, sports and solar energy. However, a lot of work is yet to be done in all these areas their cooperation will be important in this.
The Chief Minister said that strengthening the rural economy is the first priority of the State Government. He said that when the villages will be strong only then the state will be strong. Adding further he said that the youth of Jharkhand are very talented as despite the limited resources, the children here are becoming winners in the Olympics. It is the effort of the state government that the poverty of the talented youth is not becoming a hindrance in their success as the work has been done to make policies for this. Emphasis is being laid on accelerating the pace of development by synergizing resources and possibilities the Chief Minister said adding that his government is working with the objective of promoting quality education as well as livelihood. Keeping a close eye on all the points, work is being done to walk on the path of sustainable development he stated.
On this occasion, British High Commissioner Alex Ellis and his team jointly appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. In the meeting, British High Commissioner Alex Ellis mentioned the possibilities of investment in Jharkhand. He said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has created a wonderful environment for development in Jharkhand. He said that the positive industrial environment seen in the state and the information received from here will reach the entrepreneurs of the United Kingdom and the British High Commission will motivate them to become partners in investment and development in Jharkhand.
Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Development Commissioner Arun Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary L Khiangte, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary Vandana Dadel, Principal Secretary Avinash Kumar, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary Amitabh Kaushal and representatives of British High Commission were present in the meeting.
