Ranchi, Jul 10: Tourism and Revenue Minister Amar Bauri said that the state government would be installing a 33 feet long statue of Swami Vivekanand at the Basa Talaab here alongwith it a bridge would also be constructed the process for which would be completed by September 2017.
Addressing the press at the Suchana Bhawan here he said that a sum of Rs 16 crore would be incurred on erecting the statue and the bridge. He said that in order to prepare the athelets for international level competition all work related to establishment of center of excellence at Ranchi has been completed and added that in the fiscal 2017-18 center for excellence in archery and hockey while in 2018-19 center for excellence in badminton and football would be set up.
Mr Bauri said that at the present in 26 residential training facilities 700 and in 85 day boarding training centers 6,000 sportspersons were taking training. He said that under the banner of School Federation of India in the various national level competition s the players in the state during 2015-17 hav bagged 58 gold medals, 14 silver and 70 bronze medals.
