State plan approval committee approves proposals worth Rs 273.42 crore

Ranchi, May 8: The state plan approval committee has approved
proposals worth Rs 273.42 crore which have been also forwarded to
Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
In the meeting of the state plan approval committee chaired by
Development Commissioner Amit Khare here a proposal worth Rs 26.26
crore of the Women and Child Development Department for providing gas
cylinder and cooking stove in anganwadi and mini anganwadi kendras
for preparing hot food for teh children was approved.
The committee also approved another proposal of the Women and Child
Development Department worth Rs 6.40 crore for establishing crech
(Palna Ghar) for teh Woking women having children in the age group of
6 months to six years alongwith day care facilities. These shelters
would be run by the women sakhi mandals.
The committee also approved a proposal of the Drinking Water and
Sanitation Department under which it was decided that for building 19
community toilets equipped with bio-digesters in the flood hit areas
falling under the Namai Gange project and to solve other problems
being rising in building toilets under teh Swach Bharat Mision in
districts/blocks and panchayats a sum of Rs 117.26 crore would be
sanctioned during the fiscal 2017-18.
The committee has approved a total of 20 projects involving an
investment of Rs 123.50 crore for completing work under Pradan Mnatri
Gram Sadak Yojana of the Rural Development Department.
