Ranchi: Work has started on the construction of a state-of-the-art complex of Jharkhand Civil Aviation Department at Bhagwan Birsa Munda Airport. This complex will be built in place of the State Hangar of the Civil Aviation Department. The work of demolishing the State Hangar has started. The complex will be constructed under the supervision of building construction. The G Plus first floor complex to be built on 3.15 acres will cost Rs 42 crore.
This complex will be used under the revenue model. This will be the first modern complex of the state government to be built at the airport. Apart from being an eco-friendly green building, it will also be completely air-conditioned.
The building will be equipped with a state-of-the-art fire system, fire alarm, lift, CCTV. There will be a total of 24 rooms in it. In which there will be special rooms for the Chief Minister, State Ministers, Principal Secretary, Advisor to the Chief Minister. Besides, facilities like cafeteria, meeting hall, VIP lodge etc. will be available in the building.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has directed to work on a plan to utilize the services of the Civil Aviation Department under the revenue model. Under this, the Civil Aviation Department is constructing a state-of-the-art complex at Ranchi Airport. Passengers will also be able to do night halt in this complex. For this, passengers will have to pay the fixed price.
If the department works under the revenue model, it will help in further improving aviation services. The number of passengers is continuously increasing at Birsa Munda Airport. Keeping in mind the increase in passenger facilities, the state government is constructing its own civil aviation complex. The complex will be built by demolishing the old state hangar. The Building Construction Department has started action regarding the complex construction work.
The tender process has been completed. The old hangar will be demolished soon. The new complex will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Passenger facilities will increase with the construction of the complex.
