Ranchi: A State Level Corona Control Room (SLCCR) has been set up by the State government and a 24X7 toll free number 181 has been issued so that the people can contact for any kind of assistance and queries regarding Corona Virus (Covid-19).
As of now, 26,616 cases were forwarded to the concerned districts and departments for action. Out of which, assistance has been provided on 20,710 cases. Every possible actions are being taken on the remaining matters. In the Corona control room, 14,026 complaints related to food supply, 1,202 related to law and order, 1,326 related to medical, 1,555 related to persons stranded in Jharkhand and 2,601 other complaints have been resolved.
The state government is providing all possible assistance to the people of Jharkhand stranded in other states and union territories. As of now, the Department of Labour, Planning and Training have received 33,404 calls in which 9,55,207 people have been reported stranded outside the state. Out of which, 6,43,625 migrant labourers have been reported stranded at 14,303 places. So far, the government has made arrangements for fooding and lodging of 5,06,192 workers stranded at 13,786 places. Complete information is also being collected from the people to provide every possible assistance from all level.
The state government is taking tough measures in view of the increasing cases of Corona. Along with this, the government is also using all its resources to ensure that the problem of food does not arise in front of poor people due to the lockdown in the entire state.
The Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department is working to provide ration and food to the people under various schemes. According to the data received by the department, so far about 100 percent food grains have been distributed among all ration card holders in the state for April and May.
Food grains have been provided to 3,20,315 people under the non PDS while food grains have been provided to 1,87,440 people. Along with this, the department is providing cooked food to the needy under various schemes, in which 351 centers of Mukhyamantri Dal Bhatt Yojana, 588 special dal bhat centres and 397 additional dal bhat centres are functioning in different districts. Cooked food is being served daily to lakhs of people through these centers. Along with the cleanliness,social distancing is being followed during distribution at all these centers. About 2,54,257 migrant labourers are being fed in various relief camps set up by the government. About 40,40,436 people have been fed at various places in the state by 1,032 NGOs and volunteers. Also, 44,809 emergency relief packets have also been distributed among the needy.
